I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
